The 2022 Manawatū-Whanganui Schools MTB Competition is organised by the Manawatū Mountain Bike Club (MMBC) in partnership with the Central Economic Development Agency, Sport Manawatū and the Palmerston North City Council.

The event will be conducted over three days, all within the Arapuke Forest Park. The disciplines on offered include Cross Country (Individual and team), Enduro and Downhill. The trails chosen will provide an opportunity for those new to the sport, to compete with confidence and offer enough challenge for those more experienced riders.

The focus is to offer a fun, safe and challenging event that will inspire growth in the sport and develop a solid foundation for participation at North Island and National Schools MTB championships
