We've renamed the Counties Cycle Classic “Counties Cycle Classic Criterium” to reflect the fact that the race is now held entirely within the confines of Pukekohe Park Raceway.

 And this year there’s a new event, a high speed 15 lap short criterium with really sharp turns at each end of the 1.5km course which is partly in pit lane, partly on the racecourse.

 The high speed criterium is aimed at experienced cyclists as the pace is expected to be fast and furious often riding in bunches This race starts at 9.15am with an entry fee of $25.  Participants wanting to enter the longer races as well get a discounted price of $60 for both.  To enter both click "ADD ANOTHER PARTICIPANT" and enter HSC next to use voucher on the payment screen to get the discount. The main races starting at 10.30 are held entirely on the V8 track.  These criterium races are a great spectator spectacle so for those in the later races we suggest you come early.

The Counties Cycle Classic used to take in roads around the Franklin District, but we’ve decided It makes more sense to fully utilise the Pukekohe Park Raceway and let riders challenge themselves as well as other entrants lap by lap. It’s also better for spectators who get to see the riders come past each lap.

We aim to provide the CCCC as an opportunity to get in some training and having a blast around our V8 track for anyone doing any competitive events later in the year as well as those who’d just like a fun day out.

Electric Bicycles

Counties Cycle Classic Criterium will again run a special category for E-bikes. This will be the Counties Power Electric Bike race of 15 laps (44km). Any electric bikes are eligible so long as they have pedals and can be ridden by pedal power alone. (electric motorcycles are not allowed)
