Triathlon has changed. It is no longer about swimming pools and roads. It's rough, it's rugged and it is awesome!<br /> <br /> XTERRA Wellington brings you NeXTGen. The off road triathlon experience for young people on the very same course as some of the best athletes in the world. For ages 7-12 a brief water run, swim and dive, mountain bike and trail run means fast, fun action for all.<br /> <br /> We have two courses and they are designed to encourage everyone to be involved no matter your age or ability.<br /> <br /> <strong>NeXTGen</strong><br /> <br /> 50m sea water smash, 5km Mountain Bike, with a flat out and back 1.6km run.<br /> <br /> <strong>NeXTGen Ultra</strong><br /> <br /> 100m sea smash, 5km Mountain Bike, 2km Trail Run with a hill to keep them tough.<br /> <br /> Don't fancy a whole Tri? Get your mates together and enter in the <strong>NeXTGen Team event</strong>. Or just come along and do the Swim, Mountain Bike or run. We are not fussy just want our NeXTGen to have a good time on the trails in the outdoors.<br /> <br /> NeXTGen 2020 must knows:<br /> <br /> <strong>Friday 12th February </strong><br /> Whareroa Beach Queen Elizabeth Park.<br /> <strong>4:00pm</strong> a talk by some of our Pro Athletes. These guys will also present all athletes with their medals at the end of the race. <br /> <strong>4:30pm</strong> race start<br /> <strong>6pm</strong> all wrapped up so the Adults can get ready to race tomorrow.<br /> <br /> At XTERRA Wellington our key ethos is providing a safe environment so you can have fun. Nothing changes with our NeXTGen event. We have full water safety provided by our experienced water safety team,  MTB marshall support and a fully marshalled run course. All this under the watchful eye of our experienced event team. <br /> <br /> Entry is by donation to Kāpiti food back and donations can be given on the day. All entrants must enter online to be eligable to race but again you can do this right up to race day. <br /> <br /> <strong>All participants will recieve a finishers medal official electronic time and XTERRA race bib.</strong><br /> <br /> Don't have a bike,trainers or goggles but want to be involved?
