Shoe Clinic Haumoana Duathlon - 4 September 2022

Triathlon Hawke's Bay are super excited to bring you the
Haumoana Duathlon event as part of the Triathlon HB Winter Duathlon Series

This is hosted at a Club favourite location in scenic Haumoana.
Safe, quiet rural on-road bike and run course with great support from the school and community. Full traffic management in place. Duathlon dash, short, middle and long distances available for both teams and individuals, so definitely something for everyone!  
Duathlon dash is for those aged 7+ and suitable for complete beginners.
Please see minimum age requirements for other distances. Some allowances can be made to minimum ages with prior arrangement BEFORE registering to email [email protected].

Event Times

Registration: 8.40am - 9.40am
Duathlon Dash Start: 9.45am
Race Briefing (all disciplines except Dash): 10am
Start time (after Dash completed, approx): 10.15am

All registrations are online only and close Friday 2 September at 11.59pm 

The timing of events allows for the Duathlon Dash to start and finish before the longer distances start which is ideal for families whose kids may want to do the Dash with parents watching (or accompanying them) and then the parents can do the main event (we will have some volunteers looking after the kids during it) OR kids/adults might want to do the Duathlon Dash and then sit back and watch others do the longer events.

Prizegiving

Prizegiving will be held at the school after the last competitor has finished. We don't give prizes for podium finishers. All results are live and available on the Triathlon Hawke Bay mobile phone app (download this for free today). All participants and volunteers are in the draw for some great spot prizes thanks to our sponsors. You must be at prizegiving to claim spot prizes.

COVID-19

We will adjust our registration process and event plan alongside any changes in Covid Alert Levels. Currently we have no attendance limits for outdoor gatherings and vaccine passes will not be required. Spectators welcome!
We will have availability of hand sanitiser and wipes and will be frequently cleaning surfaces. Masks may be required to be worn pre and post event, including at registration, transition and finish line areas. This will be outlined in the event briefing sent to all competitors the day before race day.

At all times, the safety, health and well being of participants and community at our events is our main priority. Please do not attend event day if you are feeling unwell.
