Oldershaw and Co Omarunui Duathlon - 14 August 2022

Triathlon Hawke's Bay are super excited to bring you the Omarunui Duathlon event as part of the Tri HB Winter Duathlon Series.

Transition and start/finish is based at the entrance driveway to the Omarunui Landfill on Omarunui Road (just out of Taradale) so it is a super convenient location for those based anywhere in Hawkes Bay. The event includes an on road cycle in the picturesque Omarunui rural area and an off road run. Short, middle and long duathlon courses available for both teams and individuals and solo run options for adults and kids aged 7+ - 1km, 2km, 4km or 8km. We have something to suit all abilities and fitness levels in this fabulous location.

Unfortunately no mountain bike course this year and no Duathlon Dash at this venue. 
Please remember that you will need a working rear bike light fitted to your bike for any on-road cycling (including kids).

Registration: 9am - 9.40am
 Compulsory Race briefing: 9.45am
All disciplines start time: 10am

Prizegiving

Prizegiving will be held at the venue after the last person has finished. No prizes for place getters but plenty of awesome spot prizes available. You must be at prizegiving to claim your prize! All results are live and available on the Triathlon Hawkes Bay mobile phone app (download this for free today). All participants and volunteers are in the draw for some great spot prizes thanks to our sponsors.

COVID-19

We will adjust our registration process and event plan alongside any changes in Covid Alert Levels. Currently we have no attendance limits for outdoor gatherings and vaccine passes will not be required. Spectators welcome!
We will have availability of hand santiser and wipes and will be frequently cleaning surfaces. Masks will be required to be worn pre and post event, including at registration, transition and finish line areas. This will be outlined in the event briefing sent to all competitors the day before race day.

At all times, the safety, health and well being of participants and the community at our events is our main priority. Please do not attend event day if you are feeling unwell.
