This years Wellington Centre Champs will be based at the Gladstone Sports Centre on Gladstone Road. There's plenty of parking onsite. NO parking around the start/finish areas. You will find more detailed information with links to maps on our website HERE.
Wellington Masters Cycling Club as the host for the Centre Road Championship is looking forward to providing safe and competitive courses. The day of competition is an opportunity for riders to compete against other Wellington Centre members for line honours within respective age groups. Although all measures to provide a safe and enjoyable racing environment over the competition have been put in place the onus is on you, the individual competitor, to ensure a safe and successful day for fellow competitors, yourself and numerous volunteers who have given up their time to manage the race.
FINAL online entries close at 07:00am, Saturday 9th April 2022. NO ON THE DAY ENTRIES! There will be no refunds for no-shows. ALL final start lists & start times will be published on Saturday afternoon, 9th April.
Sunday 10th April, morning | Individual Time Trial (ITT) – Registration from 7.30-8.30 at Gladstone Sports Centre for people riding the Time Trial or both the Time Trial and the Road Race. First rider starting the ITT at 9am.
There are two ‘out and back’ courses based on age group as listed on the Race Programme. You must enter the distance/event appropriate to your Age Grade!

Saturday 10th April, afternoon | Road Race (RR) – Registration for those people riding the Road Race only will be from 11:00 am until 12:00pm at the Gladstone Sport Centre. All races will be held on the ‘Gladstone – Millars Road loop’ course (anti-clockwise). The number of laps for each age group is listed in the Race Programme. Start times have been divided into groups depending on the number of laps to be raced. The sequence of starts is documented in the Race Programme on Page 1.
Tea & Coffee will be available at the sports centre all day. Open to PNP, WMCC, Kapiti, ACM, MEO GP and Huttcross licensed riders only.
Covid-19 Protocol
Entries will be capped at 100 competitors for each of the Time Trial and Road Race events.
Facemasks must be worn when inside Gladstone Sports Centre.
The number of people permitted inside the Gladstone Sports Complex for the medal presentation is limited to 200 people.
If you're within your 7 day isolation period please stay home. If you are symptom free & returned a negative test then you're good to go.
