The event will be on rain or shine. However, if the weather is EXCEPTIONALLY horrendous on the day immediate cancellation notification will be posted on the Hatuma Half Marathon Facebook EVENT page, followed by an email to participants with a further announcement on Central FM. CANCELLATION POLICY - Force Majeure
Event organizers reserve the right to cancel the event due to a major unexpected event outside of their control including but not limited to heat, earthquakes, fires, extreme weather eg. storms, lightning and floods, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, military conflicts or riots or for any reason that would affect the safety and security of event participants and spectators. In this instance no refund will be given.
REFUNDS
Participant withdrawl - participants needing to withdraw (for whatever reason) may contact the event administrator info@hatumahalfmarathon.co.nz in writing to request a refund BEFORE 11.59pm Wednesday 14 September 2022 to be eligible for a full refund of the Event Entry Fee. eg. $35 for a Half Marathon Individual Runner (less postage for any pre-purchased items).
Note: Online fee of $1 + 5% is non-refundable. Allow up to 5 working days for refund to be processed.
Purchased Event Tees are also non-refundable - If you purchased an Event Tee at the time of registration, this will be couriered direct to you with $4 (per item) retained from your Event Entry Fee to cover the cost of postage.
AFTER the 14th September NO refunds will be given for participant withdrawal, however you do have the option of transferring your entry to a friend or request a distance change (subject to availability).
Withdrawal from the event at any time will result in the forfeit of any Early Bird FREE Event Tees (if applicable).
Event cancellation - In the event of a cancellation prior to or on event day due to government imposed Covid-19 (or similar pandemic) 'Restrictions' or 'Lockdown', a partial refund of 80% of the 'Event Entry Fee' will be provided to all pre-registered participants. (Note: Online fee $1 + 5% is non refundable)
Participants will be notified immediately of the cancellation via email by the admin team with instructions provided on the refund process.
TRANSFERS
If you have entered but are unable to take part on the day, you may transfer your entry to a friend.

For health and safety reasons, it is important for us to know the correct identity of every athlete on the course. Please do not give your race number to someone else without lodging the new details with us.
CHANGES
You are welcome to change the distance or discipline (eg. running to walking) you have entered for with no extra charge, however you will need to pay the difference in entry fee if applicable.
