RESCHEDULED DATE - Sunday October 17.  All existing registrations will remain active for October 17.  For the Health & Safety of Aotearoa this event will only go ahead at COVID Alert Level 1.  If the event is unable to run at the new date, or if any registrant is unable to attend the new date, registrations will roll over to the 2022 event. 

The rumours are true, it’s back!  Much loved and eagerly anticipated in 2021. New courses for the open and secondary schools event plus a new primary & intermediate schools relay.  

To register: create yourself a Onetime login (unless you have one already) and then click on 'Entry'.  If you want to enter multiple teams click on 'Enter many teams' (this is aimed at schools with multiple teams).  Select your relevant event, and complete the details.  Schools (primary & secondary/youth sections) are required to register all participants and pay the total team fee.  All other sections have the ability to create a team name and complete the registration in parts.

  • It is encouraged that teams wear club, school, or another form of costume to enable teams to be easily identifiable.
  • Race numbers must be clearly visible and on the front of the runner.
  • Participants may compete in no more than two laps for a team provided they are consecutive laps and do not include the last lap. No more than one person in a team can complete in multiple laps.
  • Excepting the Masters and Secondary aged participants may compete in the Mens and Womens open grades, all other participants must compete in their appropriate age groups. Any team that is unable to comply with these requirements shall enter as a social team
  • Organisers to be advised of any changes not later than 9.00am on race day, verbally to the Race Director or in writing to [email protected]
  • Race packs can be collected from the Redwoods i-Site from 7:30am-9:00am on race day.
  • In the case of a natural disaster, closure of the tracks, roads or properties used for any reason, COVID-19 alert levels or any ‘act of god’ conditions causing cancellation of the event, all entry fees will not be refunded.
  • For the Health & Safety of Aotearoa this event will only go ahead at COVID Alert Level 1.  If the event is unable to run at the new date, or if any registrant is unable to attend the new date, registrations will roll over to the 2022 event. 
  • Transfers of any entry to a new team (competing over the same distance) on the day are permitted before 9am but will incur a fee.
Non-adherence to the above race rules may lead to team disqualification.

Lake City Athletic Club is proud to partner with Lazy Sneakers as a collection and distribution site.  We will collect good quality shoes, these will be distributed to people who need them for free - so they can play, participate and reach their potential.
