The Funduro is an event for everyone young to old, who loves riding their Mountain bikes, cruising up the hills and racing down. That’s right you are only timed on the “down” section. Timing this year will be provided by ONETIME using their state of the art system that was just used at NZ Schools National MTB Championships.

You will be provided with a map before the race and you select your own route to complete (in any order) the 7 Race Stages within 4 hours. The race stages selected are a combination of flowing and technical Grade 3 and Grade 4 single track. We will even let those E-bikers join in on the fun but they can have their own category.

We are now including a mini Funduro for those that want a go but 7 stages is a bit much and/or the grade 4 tracks are a bit scary. There will be four 4 stages on grade 3 tracks, note you still need to be able to ride grade 3 tracks.

There will be no shuttles this year. So that after race beer (supplied by Deep Creek Brewing Company), pizza and sausages will be a well deserved treat.  Following a refreshment and a bite to eat there will be prize giving. We have loads of spot prizes and cash prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd overall Male and Female in the main Funduro event, plus prizes for category placings. Big thanks to Mount Eden Cycles for the prizes.

Pre-race ride for the Ladies
There will be a pre-race ride for the ladies on 15 November, please go to our facebook page for more information.

We however need you to do your part and read the rules specific to the race and our standartd rules for riding in the forest, so we know you will be doing your part to stay safe in there. The rules are below. Please read the rules and Waiver before entering the race, as entering confirms you agree to abide by the rules and agree to the waiver.
